Mystery squash....

Anybody know what this is?? Haven't been able to spend much time out here in the last couple weeks but things seem to be doing okay on their own. I planted so many different kinds of vine veggies that I'm a little confused what is what. The sunflower is over 6 feet tall. My corn is starting to develop silk, so I am really excited for some fresh corn soon. ..

Perspective

With a few flowers in my garden, half a dozen pictures and some books, I live without envy.- Lope de Vega Spending time in my garden is so good for my soul. It reminds me what is really important. Simplicity and God's goodness. The flowers and vegetables don't need anything but sunlight, water and a good foundation of nutrient rich soil. If I spent more of my life, taking only what I truly need from the earth and raising my face and my arms toward the Son, how much more would I thrive?

God made rainy days so gardeners could get the housework done. ~Author Unknown

Show me your garden and I shall tell you what you are ~ Alfred Austin

Gardening is about enjoying the smell of things growing in the soil, getting dirty without feeling guilty, and generally taking the timeto soak up a little peace and serenity.- Lindley Karstens

Here's what I found this morning.

There is nothing I love more than getting up at the crack of dawn, having my quiet time and listening to the birds discover whatever has emerged in the garden overnight. You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it. --Matthew 21:22, NLT
